Michel Eddi spent his entire career at the service of public research. After joining the CNRS in 1975, he joined the IPSN (Institute for Nuclear Safety and Security), which was at the time CEA, where he prepared his doctorate from 1977 to 1980. Engineer / researcher at the CEA until 1986 , he then joined the Ministry of Research and Technology. In 1993 he joined CIRAD, first as Deputy Scientific Director until 1996, then as Secretary-General between 1996 and 2001. He then joined the Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Research Where from 2001 to 2005 he was Assistant to the Director General of Research. Michel Eddi is then Deputy Managing Director of INRA (National Institute for Agricultural Research) in charge of research support in 2005. He joined CIRAD again in March 2013 as Chief Executive Officer.
