Lucian Peppelenbos

PhD Director Learning and Innovation IDH

Dr Lucian Peppelenbos is Director of Learning and Innovation at IDH The Sustainable Trade Initiative. IDH drives social and environmental impact in upstream supply chains by convening sector transformation programs in coalitions of trade and industry, government and civil society. Dr. Peppelenbos heads up a team of specialists that develop strategies and metrics to enable the programs to innovate, drive impact, and scale. He is also responsible for directing the IDH landscape program in Mato Grosso, Brazil. Previously Lucian was a senior adviser supply chain development at the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT) and a policy advisor on agriculture in the Dutch Parliament. He started his career as a supply chain consultant based in Chile. Lucian has a PhD from Wageningen University and has published several books and papers on supply chain development in emerging and developing economies.
