Emmanuelle Cheyns, is researcher in social sciences in the Cirad research unit “Markets, Organizations, Institutions and Stakeholders Strategies”. She has been involved in research on the impact of liberalization in the oil palm value chain in Côte d’Ivoire, forms of participation and negotiation between stakeholders involved in sustainability voluntary standards, and the inclusion/exclusion of minority voices in the elaboration of transnational voluntary standards. She edited with L.Riisgaard a special issue on the Exercise of power in multi stakeholder initiatives for sustainable agriculture and its inclusion and exclusion outcomes (Agriculture and Human Values, 2014, vol 31).
